2009 Kent Eriksen Titanium
Kent Eriksen founded Moots Cycles in 1981 making steel frames with lugs and fillet brazing. By the early 1990s Kent had turned almost solely to titanium fabrication to support his innovative YYB softtail design. Consistent with his early bikes that adapted to multiple wheel diameters, Kent would make one of the world's first 29er bikes for Don Cook of Crested Butte, CO as a bike that would become known as a Moots Mooto-X. After 25 years, Kent sold Moots and restarted titanium frame production as Kent Eriksen Cycles in 2005. The company gained a strong reputation for top-notch construction as well as the design of a simple but effective seatpost, as featured on this bike. This bike is built up for all-purpose riding as well as the potential for bike packing. The legacy of Kent Eriksen Cycles continues on as Bingham Built with the award winning welding of Brad Bingham.
