1997 Ibis Hakkalugi

The Ibis Hakkalugi is part cyclocross bike, with toptube cable routing, and part touring bike, with eyelets for fenders and racks.  Either way, the humorous side of Ibis is well apparent, both in the model name, the Handjob rear brake cable hanger, and the name for the over-sized tubing.  The Moron tubing, as described by the seattube decal, was a poke at Ritchey and their Logic tubing, and Columbus and their Genius tubing. The Hakkalugi can be built up many different ways to suit various purposes.  The configuration of this bike works well for long rides on gravel roads, and at one time sported a Rock Shox Judy fork modified for 700c wheels and use on very rough roads.  The bike has a red-yellow-green Rastafarian theme, with parts sourced from various boutique component manufacturers.
