1987 Gilmour Road

Andy Gilmour has been a custom frame builder based out of Tucson, Arizona for decades.  Although known primarily for skinny tire road bikes, in the mid-70s he built a few fat tire bicycles before the term "mountain bike" was used.  Gilmour is also notable for being one of the few remaining US builders which works with welded aluminum.  This road bike, however, is classic lugged steel with a complete Campagnolo C-Record group.  Nice finishing details on the frame include intricate lug cutouts which mimic the Gilmour head badge and a paint job that resembles an Arizona sunset.  Special parts include an alloy freewheel, hollow pin chain, and a classic handlebar, stem, and saddle from the era.
